Writing Requirements

Morning Ag Clips is a trusted news source that prides ourselves on the quality and value we provide our readers. Therefore, we are looking for you to provide us with articles that are well researched and factual. They should be 750 – 3,000 words in length. If you want your article to perform at its best, we strongly recommend writing it to be 1,250 words or 2,200 words. 

Other writing guidelines include:

• Keeping your link count under 5 with no more than 1 self-serving link
• Outgoing links relevant to the article
• Affiliate links appropriately disclosed in an obvious way
• Header images sent as separate attachments that maintain an aspect ratio of 9:5 at least 1200×667 or higher (If you don’t provide a header image, we will use a stock photo)
• Not violating copyright laws when providing images (provide the source)

To increase your chances of success with your article, we also strongly recommend including the following aspects: 

• A heading that is 60 characters or less
• Subheadings (H2s and H3s) that are 40-50 characters 
• Paragraphs that are 4-5 sentences long 
• Links to credible research or case studies
• Links to relevant articles on our website

Within your email, please include:

• The article as an attachment (.doc or .odt preferred) 
• Your name
• A short bio about who you are 
• The location the information is relevant to if it is local news
• An image header file as an attachment if you have one (.png or .jpg)

If your article is chosen, you will receive an email back with the link to the live article on our website.
