RALEIGH, N.C. — Hurricane season started just over two months ago and North Carolina is now facing the possibility of having to deal with our first storm of the season. Potential Tropical Cyclone 4 formed Friday in the Atlantic Ocean, and much of North Carolina needs to stay alert for possible impacts.
Current forecasts have tropical storm force winds approaching the North Carolina coast by Monday morning with the possibility of a tropical storm lurking off the coast early in the week.
It is important to stay alert and pay close attention to local media and the National Hurricane Center for regular updates. These storms are often unpredictable and you should always be prepared for the worst.
