STOCKTON, Mo. — The Vernon County MU Extension Center and Council will be having a Beef Cattle Nutrition and Ration Balancing Workshop on January 30th at the Vernon County Fairgrounds Diner at 1488 East Ashland St, Nevada, MO 64772. The class will begin at 6:00 p. m. and the speakers will be Patrick Davis, Cedar County MU Extension Regional Livestock Specialist, and Andy McCorkill, Dallas County MU Extension Regional Livestock Specialist.
Topics covered will consist of:
- Understanding a Hay Test
- Incorporation of hay test into balancing a winter ration for cows and calves
Cost of the workshop is $15 per person and registration along with payment for the class is due to the Vernon County MU Extension Center (Vernon County Courthouse, Nevada, Mo. 64772) by January 27th. If the workshop is canceled due to bad weather the makeup day is January 31st same time and place.
