CONVINGTON, Ind. — University of Illinois Extension and Purdue University Extension are proud to announce the return of the annual Bi-State Conference series, kicking off with the Crops Conference on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024.
This informative event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (EST) at the Beef House in Covington, Ind. (16501 IN-63, Covington, IN 47932). Growers from Illinois and Indiana will gain valuable insights from leading agricultural experts on critical topics impacting their crops.
“The Bi-State Conference series is a fantastic opportunity for farmers to hear from top researchers and specialists on the latest advancements in crop management,” says Jon Charlesworth, Bi-State Conference Series Co-Organizer. “We’re excited to offer this platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration between our two states.”
This year’s Crops Conference features an impressive line-up of speakers, including:
- Dr. Darcy Telenko, Purdue Extension Field Crop Pathologist: Field Crop Disease Update
- Dr. Shaun Casteel, Purdue Extension Soybean & Small Grains Specialist: Soybean Management Update
- Dr. John Jones, University of Illinois Soil Fertility Extension Specialist: Considering the Influence of Phosphorus and Potassium Nutrition on Optimum Corn Nitrogen Rates
- Joe Becovitz, Office of the Indiana State Chemist Pesticide Program Specialist: Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes to Indiana Pesticide Laws
Registration closes on Friday, Dec. 6. The cost is $30, which includes the entire conference and a delicious meal. Cash or check will be accepted at the door. Additionally, PARP, CCH, and CEU credits have been applied for.
