GREENWICH, N.Y. — On September 3rd, 2019, Morning Ag Clips (MAC) acquired Ghostwriters Communications Inc. (GWC). MAC is based in Greenwich, NY, located in the heart of Washington County, NY, an agricultural hub of the Capital Region. Currently MAC has 10 employees and covers agricultural news across 33 states utilizing 26 editions of e-newsletters.
Over the next few months the teams from both GWC and MAC will actively be working to transition all of the current GWC clients. “It’s a process, as a mutual feeling of trust needs to be grown and cultivated to help everyone feel comfortable,” said Kate Ziehm, President of MAC.
MAC provides media and communication services to clients. These services include writing and distribution of press releases, newsletter creation and administration, web and social media management, advertising, management of trade associations and non-profit organizations, as well as event coordination.
“I’m very excited to embark on this next adventure,” said Kate Ziehm. “We’ve been involved with numerous clients for the past several years, providing them with communications and marketing services. Adding the depth of knowledge and the support staff from GWC to our own talented team will allow us to offer even more to our growing clientele.”
“We have found someone who shares our passion for client service, communications, and will take over our work without skipping a beat,” said Kathleen Wanner, VP of Vermont Operations for GWC. Mary Jeanne Packer, President of GWC agreed. “It’s not the end of what we always tried to do with the company,” said Packer. “But it’s a way to grow what we set out to do 25 years ago when we began.” Both Packer and Wanner will continue working with MAC for the immediate future.
“Honestly, in some ways it is a little bittersweet,” said Wanner. “It’s been wonderful building GWC and serving our clients. Saying goodbye to that is a little bitter, but saying hello to working with Morning Ag Clips is very sweet. Seeing how smooth this transition is going makes me feel very comfortable and gives me a path for the future. I know GWC employees and clients will be well served when I’m finished working in a few years.”
