This is preliminary yield data. We will add the fiber quality data when it is available. Some of the experimental varieties may become commercial and will be given a commercial variety nomenclature. RALEIGH, N.C. — This is preliminary yield data. We will add the fiber quality data when it is available. Some of the experimental varieties may become commercial and will be given a commercial variety nomenclature. We will update that as companies make decisions on which experimentals to  bring forward.

We are only reporting 3 locations this year. We lost the Plymouth location due to herbicide drift and we did not get an acceptable stand at Salisbury. We decided not to include the Clayton location due to a high level of variability.

As always we recommend you place a greater weight on how varieties perform across location (Statewide) compared to individual locations.
