OAK BROOK, Ill. — Farm Foundation®, an accelerator of practical solutions for agriculture, will host its next virtual Forum, Greening the Fertilizer Industry, on Tuesday, March 21, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. CT.
Global conflicts, broken supply chains, climate action, and many other factors have created the perfect storm to push the agriculture sector to think about the future of the fertilizers we use to grow food, feed, fiber, and fuel. Jay Vroom, chief innovation officer at Vroom Leigh Agriculture, will moderate the panel, which will include diverse perspectives from these expert contributors:
- Cheri De Jong, principal owner, Natural Prairie Dairy, and owner and CFO, AgriVision Farm Management
- Alzbeta Klein, director general and CEO, International Fertilizer Association
- Corey Rosenbusch, president and CEO, The Fertilizer Institute
The Forum will examine not only where we stand today with fertilizer production and usage, but where we might go to create more sustainable and environmentally friendly fertilizer products in the future. Audience members will be invited to submit questions for the panelists to answer live during the event.
“Innovation around domestic production methods for fertilizer is being driven by a variety of factors, such as the war in Ukraine,” says Shari Rogge-Fidler, Farm Foundation president and CEO. “With spring planting just around the corner, this is an especially timely topic to consider from a variety of perspectives.”
This event is being held virtually and is free to attend, but registration is required. Farmers, ranchers, food and agribusiness leaders, government officials and staff, industry representatives, NGO representatives, academics, students in agricultural disciplines, and members of the media are all encouraged to attend. Register at farmfoundation.org.
