DILWORTH, Minn. ā Thunder Seed, Inc., a farmer-owned company focused on top genetic traits and high yields, has named John Sorby as its new sales director. Sorby brings more than 23 years of seed management experience to the position.

Sorby will help continue to expand the Thunder Seed business throughout North Dakota, Minnesota and South Dakota. He will work closely with the Thunder Seed team of district sales managers to provide personal support to growers in the area.
Sorby has held positions with several seed companies, including Agsco, WinField and, most recently, Pinnacle Agriculture, where he supported farmers in the northern half of the country, including the Midwest.
Sorby lives in Thompson, North Dakota, with his wife, Jera, and two children, Cole and Kaia. When heās not talking seed, Sorby enjoys spending time with family on Lake Bell Taine in Minnesota.
